This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is my first year teaching and I have been very fortunate to have such a great group of students. They can be kind, thoughtful and so enthusiastic about learning. They all want to learn how to read. The materials we have requested will help us strengthen our skills to our adventure of reading. We are located in Pacoima, CA a low income community and have limited resources. The resources I have chosen will be used in small group activities during our literacy stations. As we rotate during the week the students will be rotating into different activities that will build their foundations to becoming better readers.
