My Project

As of right now, I do not have a space in my room where I can meet with multiple kids at once so they can receive help. I teach 5/6 Social Studies and we do a lot of "go at your own pace" learning. With this being said, I need to meet with specific groups of students to help them along their way. Currently, we meet on the floor, but laptops plus the floor make Miss M a very nervous teacher. This will make a difference in their learning because it will allow me to meet with specific kids all at once. They will also be able to help each other since they are in one space instead of spread out in the room at their desks.

My goal for this project is to finally have a place where I can meet with more than one kid at a time so they can receive the critical help that they need.

It is a struggle being the only teacher in the room when multiple kids need help with the activity that we are doing. This way I can reach more kids at one time.

I know everyone says their kids are the best, but mine truly are the best. They are intelligent and capable kids who love learning. I come from a low-income, high-minority school. These kids deal with more than most adults can handle. They come to school every day and put on a brave face to push through another day.

Please help a great group of kids receive the help that they need. This will also benefit my classroom for years to come.
