This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My new students will begin first grade and will need to practice their letter formation. It is necessary for students to develop their fine motor skills in order to become good readers.

During small group learning in the classroom, my first graders will use the letter tracing book to learn proper letter formation, while the kitty lamp will ensure minimal interruptions during this small group time.

My first graders will learn the routines of minimal disruption when the light is on. My students will also be using the rings to identify the sounds in words in order to develop their reading skills. The Kleenex will be used daily by students when they need to use them.
