This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am writing to you today with a heartfelt plea for a small group laptop. As a dedicated educator, I am constantly striving to create an environment where learning flourishes and imaginations ignite. However, the reality is that many of our classrooms lack the resources necessary to provide the enriching experiences our students deserve.

I am a second-grade teacher.

Every day, I have the privilege of working with bright and eager young minds. One of the most pressing needs we face is a laptop for small groups. We use small groups for students who are struggling. These groups are meant to help those students catch up to their peers. This year a student accidentally knocked our laptop off the table and the screen cracked. Without a laptop, it is more difficult to teach groups using effective visuals. Most of our lessons are on slides and without a laptop we can not effectively teach the lesson. The laptop is also used to access lessons and worksheets to print and to communicate with families. With your generous support, we can continue working in small groups so students have the ability to work on them at their grade level, which will help my students excel. Moreover, your contribution is an investment in the future. By providing our students with the tools they need to succeed, you are helping to shape tomorrow's leaders.
