My Students

I teach at a middle school, where my students are passionate about self-love, identity, and awareness of who they are. I teach 109 scholars in 7th grade. This will be the second full year of a newly designed curriculum for scholars to study African and Black studies in 7th grade. This curriculum decision was made based on scholars normally not having to take state exams in seventh grade, so being culturally responsive, we designed a curriculum that shows a representation of scholars' own identity.

My scholars are extremely driven and go above and beyond expectations.

The vehicle that drives their high expectations is the REACH values that are ingrained in every scholar. The REACH values stand for Respect, Enthusiasm, Achievement, Citizenship, and Hard work.

Small-Group Instruction: Table to Increase Academic Success is a project that aims to receive a kidney table that allows for students to work in small groups with a teacher.

This will help our scholars because students can receive services and guidance if they are misunderstanding information. We aim to have all our scholars succeed and what a way to make sure we are reaching everybody. In each class, while scholars have independent activity time; some scholars can be pulled to gain a better understanding of scholars. I believe this is a win-win donation.
