These materials will give scholars two texts to take information learning in class to make it real for them. When they read these stories it brings students a closer connection to the events that have happened in history. When scholars are able to connect their literacy to content; they begin to develop a love for reading. This is the second year of a curriculum that is culturally responsive. They will be learning black and African studies. So, while excited about a new curriculum that pushes a love of self-identity; there are minimal resources. Help our scholars develop a love for reading. These resources will be used both as a class set to read in class, and also as take home reads. Our scholars are about to soar with adding these elements to our class. Thank You.
