My students are creative, thoughtful and love to learn! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think creatively! They come to school each day ready to try new STEM activities and practice their leadership skills.
Our school is located in a rural area.
Many of their families often struggle to find employment and opportunity. They often struggle to provide the basic needs for their children. Many of our children come to school without school supplies.
In my math class, students rotate to different instructional groups daily. In the small group instruction group, I work with students who are struggling with certain skills in math. The chart paper and multiplication and division flash cards will be used to increase their fact fluency skills and model skills that they are lacking. My students will each have a binder that will be used to store their small group work. The electric hole puncher and stapler will help to keep their papers neat and organized in their binder. All of these supplies will help to make our small group instruction effective.
