it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Welcome to our classroom, where diversity thrives and dreams take flight! I am a passionate educator committed to providing a nurturing and enriching learning environment for all students. I teach at EBA, where we have a growing population of newcomer students who bring unique perspectives and experiences to our school community. Many of our newcomer students face challenges as they navigate a new language, culture, and educational system. Despite their resilience and determination, they often lack access to essential resources that can accelerate their language acquisition, cultural integration, and academic success. As their advocate and mentor, I am dedicated to bridging these gaps and ensuring that every student has equitable opportunities to thrive.
I am requesting funding to create a comprehensive support system for our newcomer students, including a projector, kidney table and chairs where I can instruct them in a small group setting and cater to their individual needs.
By supporting this project, you will directly impact the lives of newcomer students by: Fostering a sense of belonging and cultural identity within our school community. Providing tools and resources to excel academically and pursue their dreams with determination. Every child deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances.
