During the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone was isolated. The students were hit the hardest by that isolation. Mental and social development happens in the early years of our lives and yet they were separated from each other. Band is a palace where we can come together and become a family. We can reverse some of the effects of that isolation by building relationships and working together for something bigger than just ourselves!
Reeds are the most important part of woodwind instruments.
They may not be visible to the audience when playing, but without them the instruments would make no sound. They are small but mighty! Instruments make sound through vibrations. Those vibrations come from the reed against the mouthpiece.
Many of our students can't afford to get these reeds. We need reeds to be able to continue with band and that family atmosphere that comes from being in band. Will you please help these kids?
