Slushies for Success: A Student-Run Business

Help me give my students supplies for our student run business of a slushie stand. Students will be in charge of all aspects of running a food stand.

Project Description:

Our school is seeking to empower our students through entrepreneurship and real-world learning experiences.

We propose to establish a student-run business selling slushies after school hours. This venture will provide a unique opportunity for students to develop essential skills in business management, financial literacy, and customer service.

Impact on Student Learning:

Entrepreneurial Skills: Students will learn the fundamentals of business planning, marketing, and operations. They will gain hands-on experience in managing inventory, pricing, and customer interactions.

Financial Literacy: By handling money and making financial decisions, students will develop a better understanding of budgeting, profit margins, and saving.

Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Students will need to address challenges such as equipment maintenance, supply shortages, and unexpected expenses, fostering their problem-solving abilities.

Communication and Teamwork: Working together to run the business will enhance students' communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

Responsibility and Accountability: Students will be responsible for the success of the business, promoting a sense of ownership and accountability.

Social-Emotional Growth:

Self-Esteem and Confidence: Participating in the business will boost students' self-esteem and confidence as they take on new challenges and achieve their goals.

Leadership Opportunities: Students will have the chance to take on leadership roles within the business, developing their leadership skills and inspiring others.

Community Engagement: The business can serve as a platform for students to interact with the community, fostering a sense of belonging and civic responsibility.
