Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Each year I am excited to enter into the new school year. This coming year is even more exciting because my students and I will be starting the year in a new school!

My goal is to create a school and classroom environment that is inviting, engaging, meaningful and full of passion!

My classroom is a safe place where learning is fun but adds meaning to their lives.

Although I don't know my students yet, I already know that it is going to be such a special group of students! I cannot wait to meet them and see the unique qualities that they bring to our class. My students will be from a low income area and they deserve the best! Thanks to your donations, I will continue to be able to do whatever I can to help my students succeed and move on to be successful members of society!

My Project

As we approach the beginning of the school year, the Villa Heights staff is busy at work making sure everything is in tip-top shape for our students. The teachers are busy planning lessons and fundraising for necessary materials, the administrators are doing anything and everything that is needed, and the custodians are making sure that our building is looking beautiful. Everything in our building is going to be newly renovated when we get there and we cannot wait!

Being able to learn in an environment that you are proud of makes a HUGE difference!

Imagine walking down a hallway and into a classroom that you aren't proud of...would you want to learn there? Probably not! Although tennis balls seem like such a small thing, they will help to keep our classrooms looking great! We want our students to take pride in their classroom so that they enjoy learning at Villa Heights! This project will fund enough tennis balls to cover all of the chairs in the building. Those tennis balls will help keep our shiny white floors shiny and white! Your donations will help make keeping our building something to be proud of a possibility!
