Slamming into Fitness

Help me give my students slam balls and other fitness equipment so I can teach them basic fitness exercises they will need to live an active lifestyle.

My Project

Adding new and colorful fitness equipment will help keep middle schoolers more engaged in physical activity. I want to teach my students that fitness can be fun! I have included slam balls, kettlebells, and resistance bands to this project. I am so excited to start teaching my middle school students proper techniques to basic fitness moves so they can incorporate them into their lives.

I want to add fitness equipment to my middle school basic skills class, health class, and physical education program to keep these early teens engaged and motivated in fitness and movement!

My goal is for my students to learn to move and move to learn. The slam balls are something I know they will absolutely love! Who wouldn't love to slam a ball as hard as you could? They don't bounce so it requires you to squat down to pick it up and repeat.

The equipment I have included in my project is meant to help foster the students' love of movement in hopes they will learn the fitness skills needed to organize their own exercise programs at home to continue an active and healthy lifestyle.
