This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have many challenges facing them on a daily basis. The lack of technology should not be one. Because of the massive budget cuts we have endured this year, technology in our classroom has suffered.

My students attend an inner city school in southern California.

They come from a low socio-economic background. Violence in the neighborhood is all too common. But even with all of these challenges facing them, the find ways to succeed. My students are very appreciative and understand that education is the key to success.

My Project

My students are eager learners and are are driven by technology. The iPad3 will help bring History Alive in our classroom. Using Skye, my students will be able to interview other students around the country and/or the world. Students will become engaged by interviewing, discussing, and debating other students. They can also share projects and presentations from our History class.

This project is important because it will connect my students with other students and other cultures.

It will help with my students self esteem and provide them the necessary tools to succeed in the age of technology. My students would be forever grateful for this opportunity.
