Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Wouldn't it be great for all students to have the chance to compare their school experiences with those students in other countries?
The students at our school are diverse compared to many other middle schools nearby.
We have a good representation of students from Asian backgrounds as well as Latino backgrounds. It is amazing to watch them interact, sharing their backgrounds and learning from one another.
My Project
With this Macbook, students will be able to Skype with fellow students in other countries, states and other parts of California! Even within our own district, students at different schools are different, and I hope that with the ability to Skype and chat and write to peers from other areas, students will learn first-hand about other cultures.
Your donations will help our students obtain a part of education and schooling that our school currently cannot support.
Students sharing their cultures to other students is invaluable when it comes to tolerance and understanding. This is the next best thing to a field trip!
