Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a CTE teacher, my students are enrolled in a CTSO, Career Technical Student Organization. Our CTSO is known as SkillsUSA. Students will compete remotely in various competitions, such as Crime Scene Investigation, Quiz Bowl, Job Interview, 20-second Elevator Speech, Related Technical Math, Robotics and Automation, Photography, Broadcast News, and Computer Programming. This project is requesting official SkillsUSA competition gear for our virtual competition. Students will use the official dress as mandated by SkillsUSA during their virtual competition. The requested 1 blazer, 1 jacket, 1 polo, 4 khakis, and 5 work shirts will be worn by students so that they can compete in their sector. There is a clothing requirement that students will be awarded points. Being part of SkillsUSA gives my students technical and personal skills that they will carry through the workforce.
