This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are developing English skills but also the skills that will make them successful in life. This year in my classroom we are not only focused on the English Language Arts curriculum but also on building social skills; this focus on how to talk to one another in a kind and successful way will help our children become part of our community in a positive way. Teambuilding, collaboration, critical thinking skills, and emphasis on how every word and action matters is the focus of our school year.

My Project

Children in today's technologically advanced era are a part of a transforming world. We, as adults with the capacity to teach them, have the responsibility of making sure these children are not only academically but also socially and emotionally prepared to lead our future. These games will help students build interpersonal skills as they work together to solve problems, accomplish goals, and think critically. With the completion of this project, children in this classroom will be able to not only participate in the skill-building activities, but also have the place to hang up and display their reflections about this learning.
