My Project
Sketchbooks are one of the most crucial tools an artist uses. Not only are they necessary for planning projects, they provide a space to explore ideas, experiment with new materials and techniques, and countless other artistic purposes. Sketchbooks allow students to try new things and make mistakes - one of the most important parts of being an artist. I have watched students gain confidence as they progress from the first page to the back cover of their books.
Sketchbooks are journals that document my students artistic journeys - their risks, challenges, and accomplishments.
Sketchbooks are a foundational component in art class - receiving one turns students to into artists. Due to shipping delays, we only received half of our sketchbooks for next year. Your donation will ensure that every artist in our classroom will have an outlet for creativity.
