This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The new school year is in full gear, and I need to restock some basic supplies for our STEM Center, such as erasable pens. Kids love to participate in collaborative STEM/Math activities when they can use their colorful, erasable pens. In this effort, I need to replace the sets of pens that are running out of ink to help students stay motivated and engaged in the third and fourth quarters.

Colorful, erasable pens allow students to color code their work and differentiate steps in the process of solving complex problems.

Students can use their pencils for the beginning steps and then use the blue and red erasable pens to color code the following steps in their models or equations. These tools help make math pop and easier to understand. I hope you can join us on this journey to help students understand and love math!
