My Students

I am a 6th grade teacher in a rural K-12 building. My students are active on their family farms, in 4-H, and in extra curricular activities. They live in a small town where everyone knows everyone and everybody is willing to help.

They're great kids, full of a desire to learn.

Being from a small school, funding opportunities are non-existent. The DonorsChoose.org organization will allow me to provide my kids with opportunities, experiences, and materials which would otherwise not be available to them.

My Project

This project is requesting several supply replenishments in my classroom. The glitter and dual line markers are so fun for the students to use on various things. The heat transfer vinyl will come in handy for spirit days and the creation of new school items. I use an essential oil diffuser on a daily basis. The students love the way it smells and ask for particular ones. The restock of oils will be huge for the students!

The disco ball party lights will be a fun addition to my movie themed classroom; and the batteries will provide us with a power source for quite some time.

The name tags, laminating pouches, name tag pouches, colored paper, and other school basics will be used to restock what has been used throughout the course of the year.
