This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am the lucky teacher of 8 students with autism. All of my students enjoy learning in their own way. However, it can be difficult to get them to sit on a carpet or in a traditional desk.

I am asking for some flexible seating options for my special needs students to help encourage them to join us in learning opportunities and allow them to do it comfortably.

When my students are having their sensory needs met, they are more likely to engage in learning and to strengthen the skills they are working on.
