Sitting Still Is Not Easy, Stools Will Make It Breezy!
Help me give my students flexible and sensory appropriate seating, a microphone system for the hard of hearing to hear instruction efficiently, and a new novel set for reluctant readers with little access to books!
Thank you so much for considering donating to our classroom! Already, my students are incredibly hardworking and motivated to learn.
Our building is over 100 years old and we reside on the the 3rd floor with no air conditioning.
Our recent heat wave made us miserable sitting at our desks! The bean bag chairs and wobble stools will be used for flexible seating access. Additionally, my class is an inclusion population with many sensory and attention needs. These pieces of furniture will help all students access learning when their sensory and energy needs are being met.
In my school, many students have limited access to technology, internet, and book stores at home. Our local library is still restricting book donation since COVID-19. This book set will give reluctant 5th graders motivation to read a new graphic novel of high interest!
We were given an amplification set to use among 3 classrooms since we switch classes. This speaker cuts out frequently and is big and bulky to switch classes with. This will allow for more smooth transitioning and not bringing as much attention to the microphone system.
