This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The kindergarten students in my classroom are excited to come to school. They love their classroom and all the learning that surrounds them. However, many come from low economic households and are not prepared for school. I want to give them everything they need when they arrive on their very first year of kindergarten.

In our AVID kindergarten, organization is the "key" to success!

I want my students to have all the organization tools necessary. Seat pockets will ensure they can keep their AVID binders, pencils, crayons, scissors, and other materials organized at their seating area. All their tools will be at their fingertips and they will always be ready to learn. We have flexible seating in our kindergarten classroom. A new seat cover will ensure that our room is nice and clean. They will have a comfortable, good looking area to sit and learn.
