This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our PreK classroom is looking for more flexible seating options, particularly for whole group time and our calm corner. Whole group, morning meeting time is when we do a majority of our content teaching. This can be a challenging time for wiggly, wobbly 4 and 5-year-old bodies!
While our students work hard to attend to our content, we want to support their attention and learning by giving them more seating options.
We also want to add more seating options to our calm corner! This is a dedicated space for students to go when they are looking to regulate their bodies, minds, and hearts.
Lastly, we want to add a few indoor, gross motor play options to our classroom to help our bodies remain active! Thank you for your interest in supporting our classroom!
