My Students

I teach in a small district in East Texas. Because of our size, I have taught a combo class of first and second graders going on four years now!

I love teaching a class full of first-graders and second-graders because I can teach to multiple abilities.

Students deserve a year of growth no matter where they start and this classroom gives them that chance.

Our school is 98% economically disadvantaged so I am asking donors like you for a little extra support for my students and our classroom.

My Project

I have been blessed with many students this year but unfortunately, the size of my room stays the same. To accommodate the number of students I have, we use old cafeteria tables so that I can sit 6 kids at a table to maximize seating in the best way possible. Having such large tables takes up a lot of space though. I am hoping that through donors like you, I can provide smaller tables that will allow students to work in smaller groups and will make our room a better space overall. With the smaller tables I am requesting, our room will be have space for other flexible seating options that we are lacking now. Please help my students be able to sit in style for many years to come!
