My Project
I teach in a low-income community where my students show up each day with strength and resilience that defy their circumstances. Many face challenges such as poverty, instability, and trauma, but within them lies so much hope, kindness, and potential. My classroom is more than a place to learn; it’s a space where students can feel safe, valued, and empowered to grow.
That’s why I’m seeking support for flexible seating—specifically wobble stools and soft floor pillows.
These resources may seem simple, but they make a big difference. They give students the freedom to choose how they learn best—whether that’s gently moving on a wobble stool to stay focused or settling onto a cozy floor cushion to feel grounded and calm.
Right now, many of my students struggle to stay engaged in traditional chairs. The addition of these seating options will create a more inclusive and student-centered environment—one that recognizes that movement and comfort are not distractions, but essential parts of learning for many children.
