My Project

My classroom is a place where curiosity is encouraged, and young minds are nurtured through the power of books and reading. To enhance this environment, I would like to have a small rug to create a cozy, welcoming book corner. I have had several projects funded for Caldecott award winning books and would like to define this space as a special spot in the classroom.

This will help foster a love for books, support literacy development, and encourage calm, focused learning in a safe and inviting space.

The rug will serve as more than just a decorative item—it will be the foundation for quiet reading time, small group discussions, and moments of independent exploration. Having a designated, cozy spot signals that reading is both enjoyable and important. With your support, our book corner will be a place where lifelong readers are made, and where every child feels encouraged to open a book and let their imagination soar.
