Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Elementary school seems to be the last time that students are allowed to stretch out and sit on the floor and find a space that accommodates their bodies and not the other way around. Most of out flooring unfortunately, is hard laminate floor, making it not the most appealing place to sit and work.
A large rug will be able to accommodate a variety of community as well as independence building activities.
Flexible seating, morning meetings, project space is all provided with one simple element, a good, large classroom rug!
