Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is their energy and determination. They are incredibly bright and full of life, but their ADHD makes it difficult for them to stay seated and focused for long periods. They are passionate learners, but their need to move around can sometimes get in the way of their ability to concentrate in class.
What excites me about the new bouncing chairs is that they provide a healthy outlet for that energy, allowing them to stay engaged without having to leave the classroom to roam the halls.
These dynamic chairs will give them the freedom to move while staying seated, which will help them regulate their sensory needs and improve their focus. By providing a tool that meets their needs for movement while also encouraging them to remain on task, I am confident that they will be able to better focus on their work and participate more actively in lessons.
The chairs are not just a physical solution—they are a way to create an environment where students with ADHD can thrive academically while embracing who they are. With these resources, I can help them learn in ways that make them feel comfortable and supported.
