Help me give my students these flexible seating options. With your help my students will be able to move, focus, and learn!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Camp's classroom raised $414

My Students
I teach second grade in a Title I school in rural South Carolina. My students are eager to learn and full of energy! Many are limited to experiences due to financial hardships in their homes. A large number of my students are being raised by a single parent, grandparent, or another relative.
Like most children their age they like to move!
Our Daily 5 structure allows for movement. I want to add flexible seating options during our Daily 5 block to allow for even more freedom to move.
My Project
During our Daily 5 language arts block students make choices about their learning. Our room has many stations for the students to work in. Adding these cushions to the "Read to Someone" and "Read to Self" stations will not only add comfort, they will also allow students to wiggle without being a distraction to their peers.
One of their favorite stations is "Listen to Reading"!
Students have access to many animated online stories . These stories often have music and of course his makes them want to move. Having the wobble chairs available at this station will give the students freedom to move without interrupting the learner beside them.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
