My Project

I am requesting juice, pudding, chips, applesauce, chicken salad, and a refrigerator for my students. My class consists of 22 caring, intelligent, and energetic kindergarteners. They are eager, active learners who come to school ready to learn each day. I teach in a Title I school and 100% of my students receive free lunch. My school has a high percentage of children from low-income families. Not every family has the financial stability to supply the children with the proper supplies to be successful in school.

My school is in a low-income area and my students face many challenges.

Despite the challenges, they face outside of school my students strive to do their very best. My students motivate me to be the best teacher ever. They are very encouraging, and they bring joy to my class every day.

My Project

For my students, I'm requesting a variety of snacks plus a fridge. Childhood is a key period of growth and development, and snacks provide necessary nutrients for my students between meals. There is a connection between nutrition and academic success. Children's stomachs are smaller than those of adults. They are unable to consume a large amount of food in one sitting and are frequently hungry between meals.

It's crucial to include snacks in your diet. In between meals, they can deliver a boost of energy. No one should have to worry about bringing a snack to school, and that includes my students. Many of my kids arrive at school hungry, and as a result, they are unable to concentrate on their schoolwork. My students will benefit greatly from these snacks, which will provide them with a much-needed energy boost.
