My students need choral folders to keep their octavos organized and neat. Performances will be enhanced by keeping music together in a professional manner. An iPad Pro stand will enhance demos and recording sessions.

My Students
The middle school students I teach are from diverse backgrounds. Music becomes a team-building activity for the community. We sing songs from classical to pop, building our repertoire for part-singing.
Harmony is the thrill!
Whenever we can, we add instruments (from the traditional unpitched percussion to Orff-Schulwerk instruments to rock and roll drum sets). We have the instruments, but we need things like choral folders, music storage shelves, and music stands to make our rehearsals better organized. Having "professional" tools will lift up the quality of our performances, too.
My Project
Students must have their music readily available to participate in good rehearsals. Learning how to keep things neat is a life-long skill. Managing all of the papers necessary will enhance how students feel about their resources. Instead of having to assemble home-made folders and binding rings, we will be able to concentrate on the important skills of singing and harmonizing.
We like to be prepared and ready to perform!
I'm excited about the possibilities for these middle school students. The folders will prepare my students to have pencils ready and music organized, be able to jump into warm-ups and rehearsals with enthusiasm! Ownership and pride in keeping folders neat will help motivate students.
Having an iPad holder will enable the students to video-record our rehearsals and show students the results.
