Help me give my students their first Orff instrument. This instrument will help me to facilitate children’s creativity in the music classroom. They can create bass lines, or harmony with this versatile instrument.

My Students

My students are amazing! They love to move and play instruments every chance they get. We currently do lots of singing, and movement but they don’t always get to play instruments as the school is really lacking in materials for my elementary students. They are in a title one school within a small community that doesn’t always have the greatest opportunities, and they deserve more than they are typically offered. They would be so excited to have more opportunities to play instruments a create music in this particular way.

My Project

I have recently gone through some elementary music training that has really shown me how easily a joy of music and creating can instilled in children. After receiving this instrument, my students will be able to add their own accompaniment to our fun songs in the classroom. This will add to excitement and give them the feeling of being real musicians quicker than I can currently provide. They will easily learn how play full orchestrations and the joy of music will come to life right in front of my eyes. I am so excited to start our own collection of Orff Xylophones so that each student can have the opportunity to learn, create and enjoy music. Please consider helping my students experience that joy!
