This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teacher computers and technology to middle school students. Our school is a public magnet school where students through out our district apply to have the opportunity to be exposed to a higher level of technology, music and science. Our school is approximately 68% high poverty and a complete mixes of races and backgrounds.
I just earned a soundproof recording studio for our students. This dream room will be complete with the recording kit to work with our computers and the microphones with stands.
Our guitar club, stomp club, technology recording classes and I are very excited about the high quality products that will be produced with this equipment in this room. I recently received a grant to complete a soundproof room for student recordings. This room is attached to my classroom with a window for supervision. The purpose of this room is to record students' voices for voiceovers and vocals. With this addition of the recording kit and microphones the students can create their own musical recordings. The students will learn the entire process from recording to marketing in the classroom.
Please make this exciting opportunity for students to record music, vocals, voiceovers and group projects in our soundproof room with this needed recording kit and microphones.
