My Students
The population range of our students is from low socio-economic status to middle class within the school and the school district. The school is located in the southwest area of Atlanta where community and culture are important. The students are very tech-savvy and are very open-minded in learning foreign music. Students who have been placed in some of the music classes offered at the school have expressed their interest in music technology. The students seek lessons that are more engaging through technology-based music instruction. Students who are not able to take music lessons often attend after-school for lessons.
My Project
Our efforts of gaining normalcy in the public schools, especially in the Fine Arts Department has definitely created deficits in our programs. Fortunately, this time gives teachers, especially choral teachers, time to focus more on quality instead of quantity.
The microphones, microphone stands, and cables will be used to project sound from students who sing and perform in ensembles that include chorus and guitar.
This will allow our supporters to hear them perform at our school. These items will also showcase the talent and hard work of our students in hopes to encourage others within the school to participate or join.
