Help me give my students the essentials items to start the school year.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Steger's classroom raised $382
This project is fully funded
My Students
Our first and second graders are energetic, enthusiastic, and super social. They are so enjoyable to be around. They love being involved in the learning process and want to succeed.
Our goal as a classroom is that we enter the classroom each day ready to try new things and be brave to make mistakes.
Mistakes lead to learning. As a teacher in an impoverished urban area, we struggle to have access to resources needed to provide a quality twenty-first-century education. My goal is to provide an equitable education for each student in our classroom.
I teach eager and enthusiastic students who need these resources to reach their full potential.
My Project
This project is all about ensuring that we have the basic supplies so we can have a great start to the 2021-2022 school year. It becomes difficult to start the school year when you need basic supplies. Our students need these basic school supplies to be safe and productive.
Even basic supplies keep students excited and motivated to learn.
The supplies will be used right away to start the year. The zipper folders will be used for students to keep their art supplies and a place to keep their reading books. Pencils are a necessary for a classroom to function. We go through them extremely fast. The pink erasers are easier for younger students to use. They also erase cleaner. The dry-erase markers are used daily. Each student has their own small white board, but we run out of markers very quickly as well.
We also use Chromebooks daily in our classroom, but our room is currently short in supply of headphones and computer mice. By adding a few more of each, this will guarantee that all students will have each supply to support their learning on the Chromebook.
Lastly, we are need of some supplies to support health and wellness in the classroom. The disinfecting wipes are used to clean and disinfect the classroom surfaces and supplies. The mask lanyards allow each learner to keep their mask with them at all time. They are also less likely to lose their mask. Facial tissue always seems to run out fast. We want to make sure we have enough for the school year.
Please consider donating to our wonderful classroom. We would greatly appreciate it.
