Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a brand new teacher who is starting teaching midyear. I am coming into a classroom with nothing.

Having basic items for my students and myself will be crucial in ensuring we have a successful start together going into the third semester of the year.

Having paper, pencils, tape, décor, staplers, markers, whiteboards, erasers, hand sanitizer, wet wipes and colored pencils will ensure that my classroom has the basic needs for my students to be able to create group work projects, independent work and have a classroom they feel comfortable in learning Language Arts.

Having the chair will give me a place to plan, grade and work during my prep. Having the laminator and sheets will allow for me to create anchor charts that can easily be written on with dry erase markers and used for each of my classes.

Having the different attention getting devices will ensure that I can signal transitions and effectively move from one activity to the next.
