My Project
Fifth-grade students are beginning to explore interests that make them unique. During this developmental age, many students are beginning to hold themselves accountable for their actions, homework, and academics. It can be a stressful time for students who are trying to excel in academics and their personal connections. These items such as the magnetic sticks will help foster collaboration, community, and friendship in students during Friday soft starts.
Soft starts are a great way for students to relax and create a community in their classroom through interactions and collaboration.
Every Friday, students will pick a station that will feature puzzles, magnetic challenge sticks, and, logic puzzles. In their stations, they will be able to create friendships and community through the use of puzzles and STEAM challenges.
