My Students
I am a third-year teacher and recent graduate of the University of Texas Arlington. I am also an active member of ATPE (Association of Texas Professional Educators) working as a campus representative. I work in the Greater Southwest Houston area for Houston Independent School District. second year. The majority of my student population is Hispanic and African American. My school is a Title I school. My goal is to continue our campus garden project to give our students beautify our campus and also bring about a connection within our community.
My Project
This will be my 3rd teaching, but my 1st year teaching 2nd grade. These items are simple but yet will bring much success to my students this school year. The timer is important because it will allow me to better keep the pace of maximizing instruction within the classroom. The nameplates are important because it not only displays each students name but also has resources displayed such as the 120 charts and ruler that will allow my students to be academically successful this year. I want to ensure that my students have a successful and productive academic school year!
