My Students
We are a first grade classroom at an urban, Title One school. My students come from a high-poverty area where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students do not have access to technology outside of the school setting.
My students are hard workers and always put forth their best effort.
They strive to be successful and will accomplish great things in life. My students deserve the world and it is my job, as their teacher, to try and give it to them.
My Project
My students need new stools for our classroom. This year, our class is using tables for our seating arrangements. The tables are great, but the chairs are much too big for my students. Their feet dangle and their knees hit the bottoms of the tables. Some of my students don't even like to sit because the chairs do not fit them.
My students need comfortable, developmentally appropriate, flexible seats so that they can achieve success in our classroom.
By giving my students flexible seating options with stools that fit their tiny bodies, you are helping them achieve a year of learning success in first grade.
