My Project

Our 8th Grade students study physical science as part of their core curriculum. This includes focus on Newtonian physics, forces, and energy. As a STEAM teacher in our "Specials" classes, I try to supplement students' core class learning, particularly in Science and Math, with genuine applications and experiences.

Working with Simple Machine Lab Kits is a great way for students to get their hands on science and math concepts to "see and feel" them in action.

The Simple Machine Laboratory Kits allow students to journey through the various machines, learning by doing experiments focused on observation and measurement.

Through understanding the mathematical relationships of forces, energy, work, power, and mechanical advantage, students see how machines can be applied to real-world scenarios. In particular, students can extend this to their own passions and hobbies, such as working with bicycles/ebikes, vehicles, motors, robotics, and more!

Mr. Rudolf will only receive his materials if this project is fully funded by July 27.
