Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a diverse school with kids from all different backgrounds, speaking a variety of languages, and coming from various socio-economic families. One of the amazing things about our school is that we make it a point to embrace and celebrate our diversity on campus as a way of bringing us together. The most effective learning will occur in an environment that celebrates and honors the diversity that our students bring with them each and every day. Students need to be embraced, supported, and honored for their differences, contributions, and beauty. Consequently, they build confidence and comfort and become more open and willing to participate and learn. This silent cooperative puzzles project is designed to promote collaboration, critical thinking, and communication skills among my students.
In this activity, each student will work in small groups to complete jigsaw puzzles, with a twist – they must do so in complete silence.
This challenge will require effective non-verbal communication, strategy, and teamwork to successfully complete the puzzle. The activity will be conducted during a designated class period and will offer a unique and memorable learning experience.
I believe that this project will be a valuable addition to our classroom, and it aligns with our educational goals to foster a positive and collaborative learning environment. Your support would make a significant difference in bringing this project to life.
