My students need headphones to use when they are using their technology and we need dry erase markers to use with our white boards during think, pair, share time.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
I teach at a Title I school in North Carolina where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Some of my students receive backpack food on the weekend. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
Having each scholar have headphones will help them use their technology more effectively and will create a less distracting environment when the scholars are on technology. Dry erase markers will be used to have the scholars write their answers on the white boards we already have. The presenter will help with classroom management letting the teacher move more around the room during presentations.
Very few of our scholars have headphones currently and there are very few spare pairs available for classroom use.
Dry erase markers will help scholars be able to express their answers so the teacher can do an easy check for understanding.
