This has been an exciting year for our class! We looped together from kindergarten to first grade. Our kindergarten classroom was filled with wonderful items which, sadly, we had to leave behind when we moved into our new class.
I teach a group of 20 first grade students in a Title 1 school.
My students began kindergarten last year as sweet and eager five-year-olds. I was thrilled to see the progress they made throughout the year. A year later, we are together again and they are more excited than ever to learn all they can!
My Project
I taught kindergarten for fifteen years. This year, I decided to make a change and move to first grade. I was thrilled to be able to loop to first grade with my entire class. We were all quite excited about the move. As I began setting up the classroom, I realized that we had left behind some very important organizational pieces. Two items, in particular, were our student cubbies. These cubbies were used to sort important papers to go home. This year, we do not have the cubbies and that has left us a little unorganized. The sign-in communication center that I have requested has 24 cubbies which gives everyone access to information. This gives the students a place to store their completed work, newsletters, homework and agenda books. The desktop allows students to sign in every morning. Important information may be displayed for parents coming into class with their child each day. This communication center will definitely improve the flow of our classroom!
I want to make every minute count in our classroom.
Organization is very important and cuts down on time off task. Your donation will make a huge impact in our classroom. Thank you for your consideration of our project!
