Sights and Sounds of Learning
My students need a sound system, web camera and extension wires to help them be able to interact with other classes remotely.
If we could only go around the world in 80 days. In the past this feat was impossible but in today's age of technology we are able to do this without leaving the classroom. We are able to use technology to travel to faraway place that we could only have dreamed about. Help us reach for dreams.
We are a program in rural Idaho.
We serve students with significant needs and are in an area that is economically depressed. We serve students from 7th grade to 21 years old. These students face many challenges but technology has opened doors of learning that we have only dreamt of in the past. Our students are at risk students that might never leave the community in which they live. Our town is a former mill town but the mill has closed down and many families and the community are struggling to meet the needs of the school and these students.
With the technology in this project our students will be able to virtually travel to places that they will most likely never see. They will be able to meet people and interact with them across the nation and even across the ocean. They will be able to learn about other cultures and about the world outside of their limited valley. They will be able to have face to face interactions with teachers and other students and broaden their learning experiences. We will be able to use Skype and take virtual field trips that we could not otherwise afford. We are requesting a web camera, surround sound and speaker cables so student can access distant learning opportunities through Skype.
Please help our students reach for their dreams.
Help them travel virtually to other states, nations and beyond their small community. These students will be able to be world travelers with no limits to their learning possibilities with the support that you give them. Consider making worlds of difference for these students.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
