My students need an audio listening device to support self correction; 30 scissors; 20 reams of papers; 30 markers and teacher stamps for immediate "fun" feedback.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My classroom is active and lively. The classroom is set up as a station learning environment. It is a colorful space with word walls, picture vocabulary, projects and writing samples. My students are fully engaged and responsible for their work and enjoy displaying their knowledge of Spanish.
Southwest Academy is an urban school located in Baltimore County.
My students come from culturally and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. They like to engage in hands on activities that involve displaying and reproducing images and Spanish sounds. They enjoy working collaboratively and sharing their Spanish with community members as well as their fellow students at Southwest Academy. They are hardworking and deserve to creatively show their project based learning with the materials that you can provide.
My Project
With the materials purchased students will create projects and assignments that will further strengthen their Spanish speaking and writing abilities. The materials can create graphic organizers, visual aides that would greatly improve their access to using and showing the Spanish they have learned and are trying to use appropriately. The colorful and vibrant materials will allow the students to move through the tasks at the stations.
My students have such colorful and vibrant personalities, I want them to have access to materials that allow them to express not only Spanish vocabulary, but its context and meaning as they develop each project and theme that we study.
