This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many students learning English come to school feeling a high level of anxiety. Many are shy and do not want to speak in English or their first language.

Dolls provide shy students, who are learning English, confidence, because they are using language in a fun way; they are playing.

Some of their anxiety goes away, because they are less afraid of making mistakes, when using new language.

Playing with dolls also provides students with positive interactions with their peers. They learn about each other's interests and even about their families. Please provide our students with dolls that will help build their confidence in social situations.
