it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
There's no bigger classroom distraction than a student using a cell phone. As a dean, I have been dealing with rise of cyberbullying. On a cell phone a student can be anonymous and bully another student which can cause mental health issues, stress, anxiety, depression and low self-esteem.
Students need to put down their cell phones and open their minds.
My concept is to collect students cell phones at the beginning of the day and store them in this cabinet, then return it to them at the end of the day. I did this last year with one class and I saw and upswing on my students participation in class and minimal cases of cyber bullying.
