My Students
I teach music at a Title I school in suburban South Carolina. The students make up 44 classes in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, including special ed, regular ed, and gifted students. Many of these students come from low-income families and they rely on teachers or the school for their materials. All of my students love new experiences. They are always eager to get involved in learning.
Our mascot is the “Busy Bee” and we certainly stay busy trying to make every moment count in music class!
My Project
My students are so proud of all that they accomplish during the year with music projects and performances. We want to show off the hard work of our students, but with so many activities being performance-based in music class, there often isn't a "finished product" that is paper-based. With the materials requested in this project, such as construction paper, photo paper, and a photo printer, the music teachers will be able to display student work as well as pictures of student musical performances. We want the entire school community to see and celebrate our students who are producing amazing work in music just like they do in their other classes.
