My Students
My school is a Title 1 school in an older part of town and the staff works hard to create an inviting, fun and safe environment for these students. Our school theme this year is Superhero's and promoting the super powers of our learners by showcasing all that they can do and accomplish. With students coming from a variety of backgrounds; some good and many not so good, it is so vital for our school community to create that safe haven for them.
Students respond well to positive reinforcement and enjoy seeing themselves showcased at school!
It gives them something to be proud of and reminds them that they ARE capable of amazing things. We work hard at school to create fun displays of student excellence so will grab the attention of other students as they walk in the hallway as well as make visitor's stop and look at what our amazing kids have done!
My Project
By creating hallway and classroom displays that highlight our students work, we are showing the school and our community that we are amazing learners. Students at all grade levels can develop a sense of pride in their work and every time they walk by it be reminded of the amazing things they can do when they put their mind to it.
Creating displays that match the tone of the work students have done can take a lot of time and materials, but by having a Cricut Maker available to the school, our teachers can spend less time cutting our displays and more time on effective lesson preparation.
