This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My theme for my students this school year is to "Think Outside The Box." I have challenged my students with many math related topics and several projects to allow them to be creative and explore the true power of mathematics. My students are very innovative, talented and optimistic about their learning.

Our school is located in a fringe rural setting and we serve a diverse group of students.

This is my third year teaching at my school site. I teach five math classes every day and teach a total of 145 students. My students come from many different backgrounds and cultures but we all come together to explore mathematics and strengthen our skills.

My Project

This color printer will be used to print out student projects in color and encourage students to perform well on their assignments. In our classroom, I try to praise my students and outline the wonderful work they turn in. By having a color printer in the classroom, I will be able to print student work and showcase their best work.

In addition to printing student work, a color printer will also allow me to print color document to enhance our lessons and catch each student's eye.

This will give them a better opportunity to learn the presented material.
